Stellantis Recalls 1.3 Million Jeep Vehicles Worldwide Over Fire Risk

Stellantis is recalling more than 1.3 million Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator vehicles globally due to a potential fire risk. The recall affects 2021-2025 model-year Jeep Wrangler SUVs and Gladiator pickups.

The automaker is urging owners to park affected vehicles outdoors and away from buildings or other vehicles until repairs are completed. According to Stellantis, a faulty electrical connection can generate excessive heat and, in rare cases, ignite combustible materials, even when the vehicle is parked and turned off.

The recall includes approximately 1.08 million vehicles in the U.S., 106,000 in Canada, 23,000 in Mexico, and about 125,000 in other global markets. Stellantis expects a remedy to be available by July and said dealers will inspect and, if necessary, repair or replace affected components.
